Guide To Using a Microscope
How To Produce A Wet Mount:
To make a wet mount place a specimen on the slide. Using a eyedropper put a drop of water on the specimen. Place one end of the cover slip on the slide and slowly lower the other end using the end of the eyedropper. This will help to prevent air bubbles from getting trapped under the cover slip.

Bringing The Specimen into Focus
Use the coarse focus knob to bring the specimen into good focus. Use the fine focus knob to get the specimen into better focus.
Without changing the focus, change to the high powered lens. The specimen should be in focus, or pretty close to it.
